Dr. David Layman
Founding Member, Clinician. David’s education includes a PhD in psychology, as well as studies in rehabilitation, mental health, family and couples therapy, gerontology, and neuropsychology. His career history includes work in medical centers, hospice, schools, and group practices. He teaches in major medical centers and universities and provides neuropsychological consultation and individual and couples psychotherapy services. His clinical focus is in areas of neuropsychology, complex health-related issues, stress and trauma, family of origin relationship dynamics, and couples work. His mission is to promote and coordinate holistic health for individuals and families.
Emily Eliseo
Office Manager, Team Coordinator. Emily’s education includes a BA in liberal arts and psychology, including studies in business administration. She is a graduate student studying Forensic Mental Health Counseling at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Emily has been recognized for her achievements and contributions, including the Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence. Part of her business background includes starting and running a tumbling and cheerleading business. She is involved with multiple entrepreneurship and business programs through local college and networking organizations. Emily also volunteers in a variety of ways; one of which is being a mentor to school-age and college students.
CYNTHIA KAMAJIAN-DUNCAN
Clinician. Cynthia is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW in New York State and a certified Oncology Social Worker (OSW-C). Following a twenty-three-year financial corporate career, her life experiences led her to Fordham University Graduate School of Social Services. Cynthia has a Master of Social Work degree with honors in clinical social work. Connection, compassion and courage have led her to where she is today. Cynthia’s clinical experience is based on hospital outpatient cancer care services, which has provided her with the honor of working with patients, families, and friends of the patient. She works with individuals ranging from young adult to adults of all ages, and families, who are experiencing anxiety, depression, grief/loss, trauma, and stress related to their daily life, major life transitions or chronic illness. Dr. Gina Torino
Clinician, Educator, Author: Dr. Torino creates a welcoming and supportive therapeutic environment where her clients can explore a variety of concerns. Her goal is to assist clients in gaining deeper levels of self-awareness so that they can make more meaningful and informed choices in their lives. With a strong emphasis on cultural competency, her approach is integrative and combines psychodynamic, person-centered, mindfulness, and cognitive-behavioral treatment strategies. She specializes in working with adults and adolescents experiencing depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, career transitions, relationship difficulties, and discrimination in a variety of settings. Dr. Torino received her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Columbia University and she is currently an Associate Professor of Psychology at SUNY Empire State College. She is the lead editor of Microaggression Theory: Influence and Implications (2019) and has published widely in the areas of racial cultural microaggressions and identity development. Brenda Deesso
Clinician. Brenda DeEsso is a NYS Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing clinical therapeutic services to adults and couples. Brenda’s area of experience include anxiety, depression, those seeking help with empowerment, relationship challenges, life transitions, and those with issues related to finding one’s sense of self. Brenda approaches her treatment with a supportive and empathetic psychodynamic framework. She tailors therapy to the individual or couple’s needs, while building on strengths. Brenda assists couples in learning strategies to improve communication and conflict resolution skills. Jennifer Marvin
Yoga Specialist. Jennifer Marvin is a registered Yoga teacher accredited through Yoga Alliance with an RYT200 certification, and two Trauma-Informed Yoga Certificates totaling over 300 hours of recognized expertise. She studies under the tutelage of Forrest Yoga Guardian Erica Mather and teaches Forrest Inspired Yoga. Jenn helps clients with a variety of physical injuries or limitations to gain more flexibility, increase strength and improve their overall range of motion. She also helps clients with addictive tendencies through her decades of work in recovery communities. In what Jenn encouragingly calls, “The Yoga Lab,” sessions are approached with curiosity and provide students with a safe, sacred space to explore the practice. Meg Pressman
Massage Therapist, Reiki Master/Teacher. Meg is a NYS Licensed Massage Therapist and Reiki Master/Teacher. As a lifelong student, teacher, and practitioner of diverse healing arts, she has offered her services throughout the Hudson River Valley for the past 24 years. Meg has been a Healing Arts professional since 1993, practicing Herbal Therapy while living in Chicago. CORINA MIRANDA-RISNES
Massage Therapist, Pilates Instructor. Corina Miranda-Risnes is an NYS Licensed Massage Therapist, NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist, and Pilates Mat instructor. Lucia Rich
Yoga Instructor. Lucia (she/her) is a Yoga Instructor, SomaSource Practitioner, Conscious Dancer, Collaborative Theater Artist, and Educator. She has been deeply devoted to the practice of embodiment through her personal practice and teaching of the Sacred and Expressive Arts for over 20 years. Lucia currently teaches Slow Flow, Yin/Yang, Chair Yoga, Gentle Vinyasa and Dancing Home classes throughout Westchester as well as Creative Movement and Yoga for children. She offers private yoga instruction at One Willow. Lucia completed her 200 hour teacher training in Garrison, NY with Lisa Bennet and Charles Matkin in 2012. Since then, she has taught in studios, corporate and private settings in Manhattan, Queens, Riverdale, Wall Street and now Westchester. ALLISON MALINOFSKY
Clinician. Allison is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor practicing in both New York and Massachusetts. She provides individual therapy to traditional college-aged students who face unique challenges and stressors within life transitions, managing academic pressures, and addressing emotional issues that arise during this transformative time. Fabian Wander
Clinician. Mr. Fabián Sergio Wander is the Director of the Health and Wellness Office at Hostos Community College. He received his Master’s in Social Work from Fordham University and has been working as a Social Worker for over a decade. Fabián’s clinical experience includes: a college counseling center, an inpatient traumatic brain injury unit, mental health clinics, mobile crisis unit, substance abuse, HIV, family court and child protective services with a specialization in childhood sexual abuse and trauma. He is also trained in diagnosis and treatment of PTSD and a certified Emergency Psychological Technician. Fabián currently serves on several internal and external committees or partnerships such as The Bronx Domestic Violence Roundtable and AJC’s Latino Jewish Coalition which focuses on strengthening relationships between the Jewish and Latino communities locally, nationally and internationally.

Her first career was as a Speech-Language Pathologist and she eventually shifted to a field where she could help peoples’ whole bodies heal. Elisha Fernades
Clinician, Yoga Instructor. Elisha Fernandes is a trauma sensitive yoga facilitator, EMDR therapist, and trauma professional who meets clients where they are in their life’s path. Through an exploration of therapeutic interventions, Elisha invites her clients to explore ways to embrace their true self, deepen self awareness and expand sense of stability. For over a decade, she has collaborated with adolescents and adults who have suffered from traumatic experiences to establish healthy goals and coping skills that have helped overcome past struggles that have interfered with establishing one’s wellbeing. Elisha’s integrative approach combines a psychodynamic, person-centered, mindful therapeutic interventions. This includes creative art expressions, trauma sensitive yoga , eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), trauma sensitive mindfulness, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and somatic movement, to provide an environment of deeper exploration of self awareness.
